Famous Bengali actor Abhishek Chatterjee passed away today (March 24) in Kolkata. Mr. Chatterjee suffered a heart attack, according to the PTI news agency quoting his family members. The 58-year-old man felt uncomfortable in his stomach on Wednesday when a fake match was shot and he was later given saline at his home on Prince Anwar Shah Road, family members continued.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote on Twitter the words of condolence, “It is sad to know of the sudden death of our young actor Abhishek Chatterjee, tookitaki was talented and did a lot of things his way, and we will miss him. It is a huge loss for the TV series and our film industry. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. ”
Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim also wrote on Twitter, “We are saddened by the untimely disappearance of a talented and new actor from our Bengal film industry #AbhishekChatterjee. A strong person on and off-screen, you will remember us and many of his fans and followers. My words of comfort are deep. May his soul rest in peace. ”
The actor who co-starred with Abhishek Chatterjee NASA, in several films such as Sujansakhi, Lathi, Sankha Sidurer Dibbi, Rituparna Sengupta, said he has set a new mark on commercial films and will always be in the hearts of viewers, Abhishek Chatterjee Deepti.
Mr. Chatterjee has been a mainstay in the Bengali film industry since his first appearance in 1986 with the film Pathbola. During his 35-year career, he has worked with veteran actors such as Utpal Dutt Sandhya Roy and Prosenjit Chatterjee. Some of Mr. Chatterjee’s most famous films are Rituparno Ghosh’s Dahan and Bariwali and Alo by Tarun Majumder.
